If you’re a fan of retellings or YA fantasy, just go order this book right now. I can’t say enough really good things about it. The characters were really well thought out, they were relatable and vulnerable. ⠀ ⠀ There were so many twists that made it almost impossible to put this book down. I may have canceled date night because I needed to finish it. You can tell that the author Melissa Bashardoust spent a lot of time researching Persian epics and Empires.
